“I think we are the most misunderstood band in the world.” Ahead of the release of their fourth album, The Betrayed, the Pontypridd rockers are sitting in a rehearsal room in Cardiff discussing a track-by-track review that appeared in Metal Hammer magazine. The reviewer’s conclusion, very reluctantly, was that the album was good, but his disdain for the band was also clear. “Metal Hammer is not the type of magazine we are looking to for good reviews,” says guitarist Mike Lewis. What magazines would they like to be in? The boys chip in cheeky answers one by one; “Attitude”, “Club”, “Razzle”. The Betrayed, out on January 18, has been three problem-hit years in the making.
